Johnson Family Holds Inaugural ‘Evening with David and Meghan’ Fundraising Event

PHOENIX (May 15, 2018) – On Monday evening, David and Meghan Johnson held their first fundraising event of 2018 where they invited foundation supporters to the inaugural ‘An Evening with David & Meghan.’ The Johnsons welcomed over 40 guests to the luxurious Sanctuary Resort in Paradise Valley for an evening of mingling, dining, and quality time with David and Meghan Johnson.
During the event, guests were treated to exciting live and silent auctions, food by the bite, signature cocktails, and more. David and Meghan spoke at length about the importance of their mission to help seriously ill and physically challenged children while also revealing the foundation’s new name and logo. A prototype of a David’s Locker – the Mission 31 Foundation’s signature community outreach program – was displayed for all attendees to see. This program provides pediatric patients and their families with access to electronic entertainment devices during extended hospitalizations.
David and Meghan also launched the “Legacy Donor Fund,” which raises money specifically for David’s Lockers in local hospitals, Ronald McDonald Houses, and other community centers. Those who donated at least $500 in support of the foundation’s outreach were recognized as Legacy Donors. A full list of Legacy Donors can be found on the Mission 31 Foundation’s website.
Through ticket sales, auction items, and general donations, just under $70,000 was raised during ‘An Evening with David & Meghan.’ These funds will be allocated to launch several David’s Lockers in local pediatric hospitals during the next twelve months.
