David and Meghan Johnson Raise Just Under $200,000 at Johnson Family: Agents of Change Event

One month following the successful launch of David’s
Locker at Cardon Children’s Medical Center, Cardinals Running Back David
Johnson and his wife, Meghan, held their second annual major fundraising event,
Johnson Family: Agents of Change. The Tuesday evening event highlighted David
and Meghan’s philanthropic efforts in the community helping to raise funding
for The Johnson Family’s Mission 31 Foundation. The foundation provides
assistance to families with seriously and chronically ill children.
The James Bond-themed Johnson Family: Agents of Change
event featured several Cardinals players alongside Johnson, mingling with the
attendees and promoting the foundation’s mission. In all, over 180 fans and
supporters attended the event, enjoying a lively pre-event cocktail reception
sponsored by Kevin Bass – Enterprise Holdings and the Arizona Cardinals and a
world-class dinner at the beautiful and scenic Mountain Shadows resort.
Exciting silent and live auctions highlighted the evening’s festivities, as
guests bid on dozens of high-end items and experiences. By the end of the
event, just under $200,000 had been raised in benefit of the foundation’s
community outreach programs, specifically the aforementioned David’s Lockers.
These lockers will be located at a variety of pediatric
medical facilities throughout Greater Phoenix and will provide hundreds of
thousands of individuals with access to electronic entertainment devices. These
devices, such as iPads and Nintendo Switch gaming consoles, create needed
diversion and relaxation for seriously ill children and their family members
during extended stays in the hospital. The foundation has already launched two
David’s Lockers in 2018 located at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Cardon
Children’s Medical Center.
David continues to model his commitment to excellence
both on and off the field. The funding from Johnson Family: Agents of Change
will allow David and Meghan to continue expanding their foundation’s outreach
and bringing even more significant impact to medically in-need children’s
lives.
